Random Saturday: Socks, Foods, PSY

Today i went out with my brother to shop for stuffs in Ambarrukmo Plaza (in Jogja). I was looking for height insoles shortie here but they don't have any so i ended up buying a pair of socks from Sox Galeri because i love thin socks.

very very thinnnnnn

Plus we had dinner full of carbs ._. We went to Sushi Story (in Seturan) and we had sushi and ramen, and their wasabi sauce was awfully spicy. i never like wasabi since the very first time but my chopsticks accidentally touch it and of course the next thing that happened was that it went straight to my mouth and BOOOOOMMMM!!!! ew. I'm sorry for those who love wasabi, but i find it unforgivable.

Sushi Story. Picture is not mine.

The takoyaki is from Tuanmuda Takoyaki Okonomiyaki, a small booth near Sushi Story. as if those sushi and ramen weren't enough

Well i found this on my way to go shopping...
PSY and his... stroller?
Conclusion: I had fun today! how was your day?

Review: Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

Hi! Today i'm gonna review Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, it is a both day and night moisturizer, and fortunately my skin has been showing some kind of improvement after i use it regularly. It says it is for very dry to dry skin combination skin. It fits me perfectly ;)

it is a yellow lotion but it turns transparent when you spread it on your skin

The 50 ml size comes in a bottle with screw lid (you need to pick it out with a cotton bud or just pour it on your hand) and the 125 ml size comes in a bottle with pump. I bought the small size because i think 50 ml is just plenty and i was right! it's been months since i use it and it still has most of its content in the bottle.

oh yeah, ingredients:
can you read this? parabens!!
So apparently this is when i apply it:

before --> after

There's nothing more to say so let's just jump to conclusion:
Pros:
-it moisturizes my skin, very well~
-it's not sticky
-it doesn't really smell (they say it's unscented but i notice a little bit of smell, fortunately it's not that annoying)
Cons:
-packaging. they should made it all into pump bottles. it's a bit difficult to pour it on your hand or picking it out with cotton bud, especially when there's a little product left on the bottom of the bottle)
-parabens!! *runs away*

Well so overall i really love this product, this is my holy grail right now. But i don't want the paraben :( I need to look for other products that work just as well as this (or better), and contain no paraben. Do you have any suggestion?

Review: Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1

Hi i'm back :D i've got plenty of time recently so i decided to continue my review draft. Today i'm reviewing Clinique Clarifying Lotion Type 1, it's for very dry to dry skin.

The saleswoman suggested me this because i have dry combination skin, judging from the dry flakes on my cheeks, but oily nose (actually i want the famous mild clarifying lotion but she said it's better for me and i fell into her trap --"). At first i was planning to get the complete 3-step system but i still have my TBS facial wash so i only bought this and their dramatically different moisturizer (i will do a separate review for that).
Oh yeah back to the review, so these are the ingredients:

Virginia (Witch Hazel), Acetyl Glucosamine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Trehalose, Disodium Phosphate, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Blue 1 (CI 42090)

But this whole ingredients just screamed ALCOHOL to me. Um yes so apparently we can call this alcohol water because it smells like alcohol, it says 'flammable' on the bottle, it evaporates (evaporates! i once forgot to close the lid for few hours and when i came back there's only half a bottle left!), and it stings. it doesn't sting when i apply it normally on my skin (well my skin is pretty tough lol) but it stings when i got sunburn, mosquito bites, etc etc. The weird thing is it works good when my skin feels oily, making my skin feels squeaky clean etc etc., but it stings when my skin is dry (so what's the point of this 'dry to very dry skin' thingy? isn't it supposed to soothe my dry skin?)
Because of this annoying liquid i often skip the routine and go straight to applying the moisturizer after washing my face. it took pretty much time to finish this bottle. now i have just a bit left in the bottle:

Conclusion:
Pro:
-it freshens my face when my face is oily

Cons:
-alcohol
-alcohol
-alcohol
-alcohol
-alcohol
-alcohol
-alcohol
-alcohol
-and much much more alcohol.
-it smells
-it stings
-it evaporates

i'm sorry to say this, but it doesn't worth the money.
